The Arkansas Department of Education pulled AP African American Studies from its list of approved courses on Friday, August 11, just three days before the school year began.
The course explores African American history, art, humanities, and sciences through an evidence-based curriculum. Students of the course have an important opportunity to grow in their knowledge of the vital contributions and experiences of African Americans.
We believe all Arkansas students taking the course deserve the chance to receive college credit. Tell the Arkansas Board of Education to reinstate credit for the AP African American Studies course.
Signing the petition sends an email to each Board board member with this request.
